Index.hr has just launched "breaking news" about Ivan Šimonović, Croatian justice minister, leaving Jadranka Kosor's cabinet in order to become assistant to the United Nations General Secretary. Šimonović, who had long and successful diplomatic career, have apparently been appointed in New York. According to his son's statement given to index.hr, he will leave Kosor's government, but will remain in office "for some time".
This news is going to be another classic example of modern media spin. Kosor and her crew would probably present this as "another proof of Croatia's importance in modern world" or "triumph of Croatian diplomacy". It is likely that the most of the media would follow the same suit due to the general lack of good news.
On the other hand, minority will probably use phrases like "rats leaving the sinking ship".
